Job summary

Environment Agency Pension Fund seeks an experienced investment professional to oversee the Fund’s strategic asset allocation and oversee LPPI partnership activities. You will contribute to climate-aware investment decisions and communicate with the Pensions Committee and external partners.

The role requires knowledge of investments across asset classes and a strong understanding of responsible investment. Flexible working arrangements and travel to Bristol, London, and overseas may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of investing across asset classes.
• Strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
• Knowledge of climate science and natural capital and its relevance for investing.
• Knowledge of the LGPS and pooling processes.

Responsibilities

• Line manage one staff member in Investment Analyst role.
• Provide input to the Fund’s investment approach and strategic direction.
• Oversee LPPI activities implementing the Fund’s Strategic Asset Allocation.
• Monitor investments in public and private markets and report to committees.
• Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
• Represent the Fund in meetings and public speaking engagements.
