Job summary

Environment Agency Pension Fund is seeking an Investment professional to help keep the fund at the forefront of responsible investing and to oversee the pooling partner LPPI in implementing the Fund’s Strategic Asset Allocation. The role reports to the Pensions Team in Bristol with flexible working arrangements and travel to key locations.

The ideal candidate will have experience across asset classes, a strong grasp of responsible/impact investing, knowledge of climate science and the LGPS

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of investing across asset classes.
• A strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
• A strong understanding of climate science and natural capital, and its relevance for investing.
• Knowledge of the LGPS and pooling.

Responsibilities

• Providing input to the strategic direction of the Fund’s investment approach.
• Identifying and discussing green growth opportunities with LPPI.
• Monitoring and oversight of all investments in public and private markets.
• Advising on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
• Providing assurance on the work of LPPI through bilateral and joint partnership working.
• Reporting progress to the EAPF’s Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.
• Responding to member, media and public enquiries on our investment approach.
• Networking across the finance community and public speaking commitments.
