Job summary

The Environment Agency Pension Fund is seeking an experienced Investment Analyst to help oversee the pooling partner LPPI and oversee the Fund’s Investment Strategy. The role requires strong investment experience, knowledge of LGPS and responsible investing, and excellent communication.

You will work from Bristol or other locations, travel to Bristol and London, and line-manage one staff member. Flexible working and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of investing across asset classes.
• Strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
• Strong understanding of climate science and natural capital, and its relevance for investing.
• Knowledge of the LGPS and pooling.
• Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Degree-level education (numerical preferred) and investment qualifications if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to the strategic direction of the Fund’s investment approach.
• Identify and discuss green growth opportunities with LPPI.
• Monitor and oversee investments in public and private markets.
• Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
• Provide assurance on the work of LPPI through bilateral and joint partnership working.
• Report progress to the EAPF Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.
• Respond to member, media and public enquiries on our investment approach.
• Network across the finance community and represent the Fund in meetings and public speaking.
