Environment Agency Pension Fund is seeking an Investment Strategy professional to oversee the Fund’s approach and ensure sustainability-led implementation. The role involves steering strategic asset allocation, engaging with LPPI, and reporting to committees.

You will lead on climate and biodiversity considerations, coordinate with the team in Bristol, and engage with stakeholders across public and private markets while travelling as required.

Competenze

• Experience investing across asset classes.
• Strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
• Strong understanding of climate science and natural capital and its relevance for investing.
• Knowledge of the LGPS and pooling.
• Excellent communication skills in diverse settings.
• Investment qualification or relevant professional qualification.
• Degree level education, preferably numerical; exceptions for exceptional experience.

• Provide input to the strategic direction of the Fund’s investment approach.
• Identify and discuss green growth opportunities with LPPI.
• Monitor and oversee investments in public and private markets.
• Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
• Provide assurance on LPPI’s work through partnership activity.
• Report progress to the Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.
• Respond to member, media and public enquiries on our investment approach.
• Network across the finance community and represent the EAPF in meetings.
