Job summary

Environment Agency Pension Fund seeks an Investment Manager to drive the Fund’s responsible investment agenda and oversee the pooling partner LPPI. The role monitors investments across public and private markets and reports to the Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.

It involves travel to Bristol and other locations, with flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will have experience in asset-class investing, a strong grasp of responsible investment, and knowledge of

Qualifications

• Experience investing across asset classes.
• Strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
• Knowledge of climate science and natural capital and its relevance for investing.
• Knowledge of LGPS and pooling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LPPI work to deliver the Fund’s Investment Strategy.
• Identify and discuss green growth opportunities with LPPI.
• Monitor investments across public and private markets.
• Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
• Provide assurance on LPPI through partnership working.
• Report progress to the Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.
• Respond to member, media and public enquiries on our approach to investment.
• Network across the finance community and represent the Fund in meetings.
