A leading main contractor is seeking a Sustainability Manager to spearhead sustainability initiatives within their construction projects. In this role, you will conduct sustainability assessments, develop strategies for net zero carbon projects, and oversee the BREEAM certification process. Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the construction industry is required.
• Awareness of energy and sustainability statements and circular economy principles.
• Ideally have a proven record of working on BREEAM certified projects.

Job Title – Sustainability Manager

Job Location – Down

Salary – £25K - £40K (BOE)

About the Company

Exciting new opportunity to work with a very reputable Main Contractor in Armagh.

My client is keen to chat to candidate with a passion for designing and implementing strategies related to Sustainability, Net Zero Carbon Assessment and Environmental Waste Management within a construction setting.

This is a role with scope for someone to have a positive impact on a well-established company.

The Role

• Carry out Sustainability Assessments, devise strategies and manage their progress
• Hold meetings and workshops as required
• Attend meetings for various construction projects to identify opportunities to improve sustainability
• Liaise with senior management, clients and stakeholders to update them on the progress of such strategies
• Work with SHEQ manager and team to provide support and guidance on environmental initiatives
• Manage Net Zero Carbon projects, monitor them and provide support to team members
• Undertake BREEAM assessments as required
• Work with Project Teams to ensure BREEAM requirements are adhered to and provide support where needed
• Liaise with BREEAM AP
• Assist in the Completion and presentation of BREEAM evidence

Requirements

• A Degree level qualifications
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in the construction industry
• Awareness of; Energy & Sustainability Statements, Circular economy principles, net zero carbon standards, ISO 1400
• Ideally will have a proven record of working on BREEAM certifies projects
