Utility / Utilities Surveyor

Location: Berkshire

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 09:00 - 17:30) – site hours may vary

The Opportunity TXM Recruit is working in partnership with a leading UK engineering surveying consultancy to pagr recruit an experienced Utility Surveyor to join their growing Berkshire-based team. Our client is one of the UK’s largest engineering surveying businesses, delivering underground utility surveys (PAS 128), CCTV, land, measured building, monitoring and site engineering services across a national network of offices. Their teams support major infrastructure, rail, highways and construction programmes by providing accurate, safety‑critical underground asset data. As a Utility Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality utility and CCTV surveys across aässä range of projects. You will operate independently on site, process survey data in the office, and support the development of junior staff while working with industry‑leading equipment and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver PAS 128 utility surveys and CCTV surveys on sites ranging from small schemes to large, complex projects
  • Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to produce accurate, high‑quality survey outputs
  • Provide guidance and technical support to junior, trainee and technician‑level staff
  • Assist with project delivery by contributing to smooth site and office operations
  • Process raw survey data and CAD outputs to a high standard
  • Maintain and check surveying equipment to ensure it remains fit for purpose
  • Undertake site inspections, risk assessments and ensure health & safety compliance
The Ideal Candidate
  • 2‑3+ years’ experience in utility surveying
  • Proven experience delivering PAS 128 and CCTV surveys independently
  • Strong understanding of GPS, total station, and control networks
  • Confident processing survey and CAD data to a professional standard
  • Comfortable working on complex,SERV multi‑disciplinary projects
  • A professional, approachable communicator who enjoys working in a team
  • Committed to developing a long‑term career within engineering surveying
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 5 GCSEBubble including Maths &agaduhan English (Grade C / 4 or above)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to commute to local office
  • Willingness to work variable site hours and occasional weekends
