Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Support Worker for Bilberry Lodge in Lancashire. The role is full-time (37.5 hours) with night and day shifts and 12.5-hour shifts, offering a salary of £25,400.16 per year (FTE, pro rata).

You will build relationships with residents and support rehabilitation in a small, specialist service for women with complex mental health needs. We look for genuine care, strong communication, and experience in the care sector.

Qualifications

• Experience working within the care sector or mental health.
• Must be able to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
• Disability Confident committed employer.

• Build relationships with the people we support, in a two-way open manner.
• Support to undertake their rehabilitation programme.

We'd like you to join us as a Support Worker at our service Bilberry Lodge in Lancashire. Experience working within the mental health sector essential Bilberry Lodge is a specialist residential service providing rehabilitation, care and support to vulnerable women with complex mental health issues. Purposefully small Bilberry Lodge has capacity for up to 6 female residents, allowing for a calm, relaxing environment.

What you'll be working:

• Full-time hours - 37.5 hours per week
• Night and day shifts available
• 12.5-hour shifts.
• £25,400.16 (FTE) Per annum (Pro rata)

What you'll be doing:

• Build relationships with the people we support, which are open and two way
• Support to undertake their rehabilitation programme
• Establish methods of communication with the people we support, reducing barriers when necessary
• Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
• Communicate any issues to the clinical team
• Accurately report and/or record work activities

What you'll have:

• A genuine interest in providing the best person‑centred care possible
• The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Experience working within the care sector / mental health
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
