Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Support Worker for our Blackburn Road service in Lancashire. The role supports adults with diagnosed mental health conditions in a calm, homely setting, delivering person-centred care and rehabilitation activities.

You will build relationships with residents, assist with daily living and communicate with the clinical team. The position is full-time (37.5 hours) with day shifts and a salary of £25,400.16 per year (FTE), pro rata for part-time.

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Experience in the care sector or mental health.

Blackburn Road offers both long and short-term care in addition to respite breaks for adults with diagnosed mental health conditions. The house is purposefully small to offer a calm, tranquil and homely setting for residents, allowing them to focus on what’s important to them.

What you'll be working:

• Full-time - 37.5 hours a week.
• £25,400.16 (FTE) Per annum (Pro rata)
• Day shifts

What you'll be doing:

• Build relationships with the people we support, which are open and two-way Support to undertake their rehabilitation programme
• Establish methods of communication with the people we support, reducing barriers when necessary
• Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
• Communicate any issues to the clinical team
• Accurately report and/or record work activities

What you'll have:

• A genuine interest in providing the best person-centred care possible
• The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Experience working within the care sector / mental health

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
