Job summary

Active Care Group is recruiting a Registered Manager for Bilberry Lodge Mental Health Residential Service in Rishton. You will lead a small team to deliver person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation plans for up to 6 female residents with complex mental health needs.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary care while maintaining KPI targets and service quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a similar setting.
• Experience working with Residents with Personality Disorder.
• Experience in managing a team of Support Workers.
• QCF or NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care and a qualification as a nurse or therapist.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Excellent understanding of the relevant regulatory framework, regulations and legislation.
• Excellent analytical and budgetary skills.
• Demonstrate experience in coaching and developing colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Registered Manager with the CQC ensuring individuals needs are met.
• Ensuring business objectives are met including KPI.
• Delivery of training for inductees and existing employees, as required.
• Facilitate CQC inspections to ensure 100% compliant and maintaining minimum a ‘Good’ rating.
• Maintaining staffing levels and rostering.
• Monitor service quality and compliance with legislation.
• Support Quality Assurance activities and 100% compliance.
• Liaising with external stakeholders and professionals.
• Supporting referrals activities and medical needs.

We have a wonderful opportunity for a Registered Manager to join our team at our new Bilberry Lodge Mental Health Residential Service in Rishton. Bilberry Lodge is a service providing therapeutic accommodation for up to 6 female adult residents who present with a range of mental health conditions, primarily Personality Disorders. The team at Bilberry Lodge work together to develop person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation focused care plans that aim to maximise the individual’s independence and recovery. We look to build on our residents' progress and provide them with key life skills, with each resident having access to a multidisciplinary care team consisting of Rehabilitation Support Workers, Occupational Therapy, Nursing and Psychology as required.

Where you'll be working:

• 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday or as required to meet the needs of the service. As Registered Manager, there is an expectation to be available outside of these hours in an emergency.

What you'll be doing:

• Registered Manager with the CQC Ensuring individuals needs are met.
• Ensuring business objectives are met including KPI.
• Responsible for keeping up to date with any changes or new legislation affecting the provision of services.
• Delivery of training for inductees and existing employees, as required.
• Facilitate CQC inspections to ensure 100% compliant and a maintaining minimum of a ‘Good’ rating.
• Responsible for ensuring the service has the required level of resources to support the individuals.
• Including ensuring that the service is fully staffed according to agreed levels.
• Maintain the staffing provision using the rostering system.
• Monitor service quality, utilising all care and business systems to ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, in line with organisational, regulatory and legal requirements.
• Support Quality Assurance activities of own and other services, achieving 100% compliance.
• Acting as a representative of Active Care Group at all times.
• Liaising with external stakeholders, including medical professionals, care managers, families, advocates, therapists, and prospective individuals.
• Supporting referrals activities - including service visits and assessments.
• Support individuals' ongoing medical needs.
• Support individuals who may require behaviour management.
• Administrative tasks.
• Participate in the on-call rota

What you'll have:

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a similar setting.
• Experience working with Residents who have a diagnosed Personality Disorder.
• Experience in managing a team of Support Workers.
• QCF or NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care and a qualification as a nurse or therapist.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Excellent understanding of the relevant regulatory framework, regulations and legislation.
• Excellent analytical and budgetary skills.
• Demonstrate experience in coaching and developing colleagues.
• Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.
• Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
• Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations
