Job summary

Active Care Group is hiring a Support Worker for our Blackburn Road service in Lancashire. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week and a salary of £25,400.16 per year (FTE), with pro rata arrangements where applicable.

You will build relationships, support rehabilitation programmes, and help with daily living activities in a calm, homely setting. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in person-centred care, strong communication skills, and experience in care or mental health.

• Effective communication at all levels.
• Experience in care sector / mental health.
• Enhanced DBS will be required.

Blackburn Road offers both long and short-term care in addition to respite breaks for adults with diagnosed mental health conditions. The house is purposefully small to offer a calm, tranquil and homely setting for residents, allowing them to focus on what’s important to them.

What you'll be working:

Full-time - 37.5 hours a week. £25,400.16 (FTE) Per annum (Pro rata) Day shifts

What you'll be doing:

• Build relationships with the people we support, which are open and two-way
• Support to undertake their rehabilitation programme
• Establish methods of communication with the people we support, reducing barriers when necessary
• Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
• Communicate any issues to the clinical team
• Accurately report and/or record work activities

What you'll have:

• A genuine interest in providing the best person-centred care possible
• The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Experience working within the care sector / mental health
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
