Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Team Leader for Bilberry Lodge in Rishton, a specialist residential service for women with complex mental health needs. The role covers 37.5 hours per week across days and on-call nights, with weekends on a rotation.

DBS required on appointment, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered. You will lead a small team, support rehabilitation, and ensure clear communication with residents and the clinical team.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.
• Flexible, professional, and positive approach.
• Level 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards.
• Sound working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and DoLS.
• Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
• Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.
• Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations.
• Ability to address and respond to employee issues in a fair and consistent manner.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with the people we support, which are open and two-way.
• Support to undertake their rehabilitation programme.
• Establish methods of communication with the people we support, reducing barriers when necessary.
• Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed.
• Communicate any issues to the clinical team.
• Accurately report and/or record work activities.
• To be part of the on-call team.
• Complete supervision of Support Workers.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our friendly and experienced team at our Bilberry Lodge service in Rishton, a specialist residential service that provides rehabilitation, care, and support to vulnerable women with complex mental health issues. Purposefully small, Bilberry Lodge has a capacity for up to 6 female residents, allowing for a calm, relaxing environment. There is a large lounge area where residents can convene and interact in a communal setting during their recovery.

What you'll be working:

• Days with night shifts when required
• 08.00-20.30 days, 20.00-08.30 nights
• 37.5 Hours Monday - Sunday Alternate Weekends
• £27,179.54 (FTE) Per annum (Pro rata)

What you'll be doing:
