Do you have experience, or are you looking for a career supporting vulnerable young people living in semi-independent accommodation?
Would you like to make a real difference in young people’s lives?
We may have just the role for you...
Come and join a Charity focused on people rather than profit.
We are looking for a Support Worker to join our growing Independent Living Services Team supporting young people 16-18 under Local Authority Care across Swindon.
You’ll play a vital role in helping young people develop independent living skills, whilst being part of a charity that is committed to creating positive change in their lives.
Our services span several areas across Swindon, including St Andrews, Freshbrook, Westlea and Oakhurst. Due to the locations, successful applicants will need a full UK drivers licence and access to their own vehicle.
We are looking for someone to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a rota basis, including alternate weekends. Part-time and bank hours are also available.
While the role can present challenges, the rewards of witnessing the positive impact of your guidance and support on these young lives are truly extraordinary.
Whether you have experience, or are just getting started, we are looking for people who are compassionate, with a calm and caring demeanour, and who are flexible, positive, approachable, and resilient.
If you don’t tick every single box but feel passionate about this role, we still encourage you to apply. You might be exactly who we need!
If you have any special access requirements or other support needs throughout the application process (including an interview), please contact us so that we can let you know how we can support you.
We welcome and encourage applications from everyone, regardless of age, disability, gender, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation. We are facing diverse problems, so need diverse people to tackle them.
