Job summary

Positive Futures is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help people with learning disabilities, brain injuries or autism live independently and make real choices about their lives. You don’t need formal qualifications—kindness, patience and reliability are valued, and NISCC registration will be supported.

You will get to know the person you support, helping with daily living skills, personal care, money management and community involvement, while maintaining dignity and respect at all

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications or experience required; kindness, patience and reliability are the key qualities.
• NISCC registration will be supported/covered.

Responsibilities

• Form a positive relationship with the person you support while upholding professional boundaries.
• Help with daily living skills, personal care, and managing money and medications as independently as possible.
• Support people to stay safe and healthy, and access other services when needed (GP, social worker, advocate).
• Assist individuals to participate in their community, stay connected with important people, and advocate for themselves.
• Maintain accurate records (incidents, risk assessments, logs) using our digital systems.
