Positive Futures is hiring a Support Worker in Northern Ireland to help people with learning disabilities, brain injury or autism live independently with real choice. No formal qualifications required—kindness, patience and reliability matter most.

You’ll support daily living, personal care, finances and community activities, while championing the person’s rights to make choices and access services. Training and ongoing guidance provided.

Competenze

• Personal or work experience of providing care or support for someone
• Basic digital skills to record notes and use rota, HR or care systems

Mansioni

• Form a positive relationship with the person you support and maintain professional boundaries.
• Help them look after their home, manage money and medication as independently as possible.
• Coordinate with GP, social worker or advocate to get the right support when needed.
• Support stay safe and healthy, including personal care when required, with dignity and respect.
• Help them get out into their community, stay connected with important people, and advocate for themselves.
• Act as a role model for staff and volunteers; keep accurate records (incidents, risk assessments, logs) using digital systems.
