Overview

Support Worker – Care Connection are recruiting experienced Support Workers to support clients in the Warminster area. This is a temporary, ad hoc role to fill staffing gaps due to sickness and holidays.

As an Agency Support Worker, you will work across a variety of supported living services in the area, supporting individuals with varying support needs, including autism, learning difficulties, behaviours that may challenge, and individuals who may require extra support around their mental health needs. The aim at this service is to deliver a better life for those severely affected by mental illness, helping individuals stay safe and well in the community, maintain independence, and establish a sense of belonging.

You will support service users in a person‑centred way, always promoting choice as a priority, enabling each individual to be as independent as possible and live their lives to the fullest.

Shifts can be variable and may include sleep-in shifts, covering days, nights and weekends depending on staffing needs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver support within an adult health or social care environment, assisting with daily living tasks or developing new skills.
  • Provide one-to-one support or work with other support workers or health professionals as part of a team.
  • Support may be provided in the home, garden, or community settings; equipment may be required for moving and handling or health tasks.
  • Follow a on-site care plan to complete tasks, ensure safety, coordinate client communication, and follow any end-of-life instructions where relevant.
