Job summary

Acuity Care Group in Truro is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide 2:1 care to a nine-year-old girl at home. The role is part-time, with day and night shifts, and requires patience, reliability and a caring approach.

The successful candidate will work within the family home, support learning and development, engage in sensory and play-based activities, and collaborate with a small, stable team. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience with children, non-verbal communication, or complex needs is helpful but not essential.
  • You should be kind, patient, caring, reliable, consistent and confident in your role.
  • Willing to learn child-specific communication cues.
  • Happy to engage in sensory, creative, and play-based activities.

Summary
Support Worker

Pay rate: £14.18- £15.23 per hour

Shift Pattern: 08.00- 20.00 (days), 20.00-08.00 (sleep nights)

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Female Support Worker. To join our dedicated team, providing 2:1 support to a bright and joyful nine-year-old girl who lives at home with her mum and dad in Truro.

She has Autism, Mental Health needs, Learning Disabilities, or behaviours that challenge and requires round-the-clock care, delivered by a consistent and understanding team.

This is a rewarding role supporting a young person who brings a lot of happiness, warmth, and personality to those around her.

Experience and Skills of a Support Worker
  • Experience with children, non-verbal communication, or complex needs is helpful but not essential.
  • You should be kind, patient, caring, reliable, consistent and confident in your role.
  • Willing to learn child-specific communication cues.
  • Happy to engage in sensory, creative, and play-based activities.
