Job summary

Westcroft is a vibrant supported living service in Tring, Hertfordshire. We seek a Female Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities live as independently as possible.

The role includes creating personalised support plans, promoting daily living skills, assisting with medication and personal care, and contributing to risk assessments. You will also induct new staff and support residents to achieve personal goals.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence or access to a vehicle is required.
• Holds a care certificate or willingness to undertake a care qualification.
• At least one sleep-in per week (paid at a flat rate of 52.78).
• Weekend and bank holiday working is required.

Female Support Worker

Full-time - 37.5 hours per week

Westcroft is a vibrant supported living service supporting adults with learning disabilities across three main buildings and community homes. The Role

As a Support Worker, you will:

• Create and follow personalised support plans
• Promote daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and budgeting
• Support with medication and provide personal care with dignity
• Contribute to risk assessments and management plans
• Help residents achieve personal goals
• Induct and mentor new staff as needed

Shift patterns include:

The role operates on a rota basis, with shifts including early, late and sleep-in duties. Typical shift times are: 07:00 - 15:00, 07:30 - 15:30, 08:00 - 16:00, 12:30 - 20:30, 14:00 - 22:00, plus sleep-in shifts as required.

Please note: lone working is required, so confidence, responsibility and clear communication are essential.

We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role who is caring, reliable, and proactive, with a genuine commitment to supporting others. You will be an effective communicator, adaptable to individual needs, and thrive as part of a supportive team while living our values.
