Job summary

British Red Cross is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist individuals discharged from hospital in Redhill and surrounding areas.

You will manage a caseload, provide emotional and practical support, complete welfare checks, shopping, and home visits, and respond to referrals from clinicians.

This fixed-term contract until March 2027 offers flexible working arrangements and a pro-rata salary of £24,479 per annum, with a driving licence required for travel around the area.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Basic IT skills and a commitment to following procedures.

Support Worker - Home from Hospital

Location: Redhill, Surrey with travel around the area Hours: 21 Salary: £24,479 per annum pro-rata (£13.45 per hour)

Contract type: Fixed Term Contract Until March 2027

Driving Requirement: A full UK driving license held for a minimum of 2 years is required and access to a vehicle. Business mileage reimbursed.
