Job summary

Tamfol in Falkirk is recruiting a Service Support Worker to join our Health and Care team. You’ll provide personal, emotional, and practical support to adults in their homes or community, helping them live more independently.

No formal care experience needed, but you should be patient, caring, and a good communicator. Flexible hours include evenings and weekends; you must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and a caring, respectful approach.
  • Experience supporting adults with physical, sensory, or mental health needs.
  • Knowledge of local community care resources and risk assessments.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends; willingness to register with the SSSC.
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle; mileage paid.

Responsibilities

  • Providing personal, emotional, and practical support to adults in their own homes or community.
  • Supporting service users with daily living tasks like bathing, dressing, meal prep, and medication.
  • Liaising with health and social care professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
  • Promoting safety and wellbeing through risk assessments and welfare checks.

Job description

Work location:Falkirk, working across Stirlingshire area

35 Hours per week (also willing to consider part-time workers, 18 or 24 hours per week)

Additional Requirement:

  • Successful candidates will be required to register with the Scottish Social Security Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting.
  • Candidates are required to have the Right to Work in the UK. Unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship for this role.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle. Mileage paid.
