Job summary

Home Group is seeking a part-time support worker to help people with complex needs live more independently. You will lead planning, coordinate staff, and support customers with daily tasks. The role includes safeguarding and multi‑agency collaboration to empower customers.

We value compassionate, proactive individuals who can work on a rolling rota, including mornings, evenings, sleep-ins, and some weekends. A Level 3 Diploma in Care or equivalent is required, with training offered to progress.

Responsibilities

  • Lead support planning and coordinate Support Workers to deliver person-centred care.
  • Balance safeguarding, admin and meetings while guiding colleagues and managing caseloads.
  • Assist customers with daily tasks like budgeting, cooking and appointments.
  • Collaborate with multi‑agency teams to safeguard and empower customers.
  • Support customers to build independence and prepare for move-on into the community.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead support planning and coordinate our Support Workers to deliver person-centred support

You have
  • Passion and experience in supporting others ideally in a supported housing setting
  • Level 3 Diploma in Care or equivalent experience (or are willing to work towards it)
  • Experience assessing referrals and coordinating support
  • The ability to work under your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach

The practical bits
  • Part time role (30 hpw). Shifts are based on an 8 week rolling rota and include mornings, evenings, sleep ins and alternate weekends
  • Service based role working with men and women aged between 18 and 64 with enduring mental health and dual diagnosis'.
  • Team meetings held once every 4 weeks (included in contracted hours).
  • You need an Enhanced with barring list (we pay)
  • A vehicle insured for business use (and a license!), we’ll pay for any business mileage
