Job summary

Home Group is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support individuals with complex needs in a housing setting. You will lead planning, coordinate the support team, safeguard customers, and help them manage daily tasks such as budgeting, cooking, and appointments.

You will work with multi-agency teams to empower independence and plan for move-on, supporting young people and building resilience in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting others in a housing setting is preferred.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Care or willingness to work towards it.
  • Experience assessing referrals and coordinating support.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, stay calm under pressure and be resilient.
  • Experience working with young people.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

You have
  • Passion and experience in supporting others ideally in a supported housing setting
  • Level 3 Diploma in Care or equivalent experience (or are willing to work towards it)
  • Experience assessing referrals and coordinating support
  • The ability to work under your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach
  • Experience working with young people

The practical bit
  • We are an OFSTED service working with young people aged between 16-18 years old preparing them to live independently
  • Varied working pattern - typical shift pattern: 8am to 4pm and 2pm to 10pm
  • Team members are also required to undertake at least one sleep‑in shift per week.
  • You need an Enhanced with barring list (we pay)
  • A vehicle insured for business use (and a license!), we’ll pay for any business mileage
