Job summary

Riverside Group in Lewisham is seeking a Support Assistant to help run a supported housing service. The role emphasises safety and wellbeing, with no personal care duties required and a clear focus on delivering consistent support to residents.

You will assist customers with conversations with GP, Social Services, or benefits teams; log incidents; clean and prepare rooms; and contribute to tenancy‑related support, budgeting, and signposting to community services.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people in a customer facing environment.
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people – including lived experience in some cases.
• Basic administrative and IT skills and attention to detail are required to maintain records and in‑house systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of a housing management service, including income collection and tenancy‑related support.
• Log incidents to maintain accurate records and prepare customer rooms for the next occupant.
• Assist with referrals, recruitment and collaboration with external services while keeping safeguarding procedures in mind.
• Carry out day‑to‑day administration and operational duties and maintain financial records.
