Job summary

Sanctuary Group’s Sanctuary Supported Living service in Bolton is seeking a dedicated Support Assistant to help people with mental health needs. You will provide high-quality, empathetic support, assist with daily living activities, and promote social inclusion within a compassionate team.

Your role

• Support customers with mental health needs to build confidence and reach their potential
• Provide a hands-on, high-quality support service
• Encourage daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and community involvement

• Work with agencies on behalf of customers, encouraging choice and acting as an advocate when needed
• Maintain a safe environment and follow relevant regulations and practices
• Caring, approachable nature
• Ability to keep accurate records and share information clearly with the team
• Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with customers, families and agencies
• Experience working effectively as part of a team
• Positive and accepting approach to customers whatever their needs
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
• Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
