Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a dedicated Support Assistant in Leicester to join a compassionate team at Sycamore Court. The role focuses on enabling daily living skills, inclusion, and advocacy, with responsibilities across records, safeguarding, and collaboration with external agencies.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
  • Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar).
  • Ability to keep accurate records and share information clearly with the team.
  • Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with customers, families and agencies.
  • Experience working effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a hands-on, high-quality support service.
  • Encourage daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, shopping, community involvement).
  • Promote social inclusion and help customers build confidence and resilience.
  • Work with agencies on behalf of customers, advocating when needed.

Your role
