Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking a dedicated Support Assistant to join our disability service at Shaftesbury Court, Manor Close, Trowbridge, Wiltshire. You will provide hands-on, high-quality support and help residents develop daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and community involvement.

The role offers 25 hours per week at £13.74 per hour, with a strong focus on social inclusion, advocacy, and maintaining a safe environment in line with regulations.

Your role

• Provide a hands-on, high-quality support service

• Promote social inclusion and help customers build confidence, resilience and self-esteem
• Work with agencies on behalf of customers, encouraging choice and acting as an advocate when needed
• Maintain a safe environment and follow relevant regulations and practices
• Caring, approachable nature
• Ability to keep accurate records and share information clearly with the team
• Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with customers, families and agencies
• Experience working effectively as part of a team
• Positive and accepting approach to customers whatever their needs
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
• Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
