Overview

Job Title: Supply Teacher

Location: Buckinghamshire, Aylesbury

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work full-time hours

Salary: £100 - £180 per day

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Follow school policies and procedures while carrying out teaching duties.
  • Provide feedback to regular teachers on student progress and behaviour.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of individual students.
Qualifications
  • Required: PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • MA (Masters) or BA (Bachelor\'s) in a relevant subject
Experience
  • Prior experience working as a Supply Teacher or Cover Supervisor in a secondary school setting.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent subject knowledge in the relevant curriculum area
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional training or certifications in behaviour management or special educational needs
Working Conditions
  • This role involves working on a temporary basis, filling in for regular teachers as needed.
  • Full-time hours are expected, and flexibility in terms of location may be required within the Aylesbury/Buckinghamshire area.
