Job summary

Wates in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead repairs, voids, disrepair and planned works programmes for social housing. You will manage operatives, subcontractors and admin teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will work closely with clients and residents, monitor KPIs, ensure health and safety, and drive service improvements while keeping projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Supervising experience in repairs, maintenance, or planned works.
• Strong knowledge of housing maintenance and property services.
• Familiarity with schedules of rates (SORs) and service delivery metrics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good health and safety awareness.
• Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing performance.
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.

You'll work closely with clients, residents, operational teams, and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.,

• Leading and supporting operatives, subcontractors, and administration teams
• Monitoring performance against KPIs and contractual targets
• Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring excellent workmanship
• Managing health and safety compliance across all activities
• Supporting workforce development through coaching, training, and performance management
• Investigating and resolving customer queries and complaints
• Building strong relationships with clients and attending performance review meetings
• Reviewing operational performance and identifying opportunities for service improvement
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

We're looking for a confident people leader with experience within repairs, maintenance, property services, or social housing.

Essential

• Experience supervising a workforce within repairs, maintenance, or planned works

Qualifications
