Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Supervisor - Grounds Maintenance in Solihull to lead and manage ground maintenance operations, staff absence investigations, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. The role involves coordinating with SMBC services and delivering inductions and training records.

You will oversee vehicle and equipment compliance, represent the company at local authority meetings, and support health and wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Essential: Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with grounds maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation.
• Experience in disciplinary investigations and absence monitoring.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Staff management (absence management, investigations, disciplinaries, performance).
• Manage and deliver on ground maintenance operations.
• Coordinate with SMBC services.
• Support health and wellbeing initiatives.
• Represent the company at local authority and resident meetings.
• Deliver employee inductions and maintain training records.
• Oversee vehicle and equipment compliance.
• Assist with transfer station and depot compliance.
• Conduct crew inspections and monitor contract work.
