Job summary

ALPADIA Language Schools SA invites applications for a Welfare Officer on a fixed term summer contract for 2027. The role focuses on safeguarding, wellbeing, supervision of student residences, and managing behaviour to provide a positive camp experience for international students.

Candidates should be flexible, capable of working under pressure, and possess strong communication skills, with prior welfare experience with under 18s. DBS/clearance requirements apply and accommodation is provided.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and promote wellbeing of all students in care.
• Monitor and supervise student residence to ensure safety and conduct.
• Manage student behaviour and apply appropriate sanctions or encouragement.
• Locate and check missing students to maintain safeguarding standards.
• Care for sick students in camp and monitor accommodation.
• Ensure host institutions' property is cared for and damages reported.
