Job summary

ALPADIA Language Schools SA invites applications for a Welfare & Administration Manager on a fixed-term residential summer contract for 2027. The role focuses on safeguarding, welfare oversight and staff leadership within a dynamic international camp environment.

You will coordinate welfare operations, manage staff, and liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure a safe, engaging and smooth camp experience for all students.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pastoral, welfare, safeguarding or residential management with children or young people.
• Experience in summer camps, boarding schools or youth programmes.
• Ability to manage safeguarding cases and welfare incidents professionally and sensitively.
• Experience leading a team responsible for student welfare and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize student safety and implement safeguarding/health & safety policies with Camp Manager.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Staff, care for sick students and arrange medical responses.
• Manage attendance registers and student welfare communications with internal/external stakeholders.
• Lead welfare staff induction and training; create and distribute Welfare Officer rota.
• Line manage Welfare Officers & Night Supervisors; communicate overnight updates.
• Oversee accommodation allocation, pocket money distribution and daily reports.
• Assist in check-in/check-out procedures and cover Camp Manager on days off.
• Support Activity Programme through the Activity Manager and Leaders.
