Job summary

Deyes High School in Liverpool is seeking a committed Pastoral Support Assistant to join our inclusive Pastoral Team. You will work with a designated year group, providing day-to-day pastoral support to help students thrive academically and personally.

You will support behaviour, attendance and wellbeing, develop targeted interventions, and work with families, teaching staff and external agencies to ensure students receive the right support at the right time.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in a school setting.
• Ability to manage behaviour and promote positive attitudes to learning.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Resilient, proactive and committed to making a difference.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day pastoral support to a designated year group.
• Support behaviour, attendance and wellbeing strategies.
• Contribute to targeted intervention plans and liaise with staff and external agencies.
• Be a point of contact for students, parents/carers and staff.
