Job summary

Ormiston Denes Academy seeks a dedicated Behaviour and Pastoral Assistant to support students’ wellbeing, behaviour and personal development. You will work closely with teaching staff and the inclusion team to help students facing behavioural, emotional, or social challenges engage positively with school life and reach their potential.

You will monitor progress, record concerns, and provide targeted support to individuals or small groups while upholding safeguarding and inclusion commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational/pastoral setting.
• Strong communication, empathy and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted behaviour and pastoral support to individual students or small groups.
• Monitor and record student progress, wellbeing, and behaviour.
• Work with teaching and pastoral staff to support student engagement and personal development.
• Support safeguarding and inclusion initiatives within the academy.
