Pay: Paid to scale (Inner/Outer/Fringe London). This may be a permanent salary or a daily rate equivalent to scale. Start Date: ASAP or January 2026 Contract: Long-term with potential to go permanent

Empowering Learning are recruiting a Student Welfare Officer for a secondary school in East London. This role sits at the heart of the school's pastoral and safeguarding systems, supporting the wellbeing, safety and day-to-day welfare of students across the school.

As a Student Welfare Officer, you'll work closely with safeguarding leads, pastoral teams and external agencies to ensure that every young person feels supported, heard and able to engage with their curriculum and progression. You'll help with triage, emotional support, early intervention, attendance concerns and the routines that keep vulnerable students on track.
