Overview

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? A leading specialist school and college is seeking a dedicated Student Support Worker to join our team in Lingfield, Surrey. This is a full-time, term-time-only position for an individual who is committed to helping our students thrive.

The Role

As a key member of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll provide vital support to students aged 4-25 across both their residential and educational settings. You'll be working with young people who have a range of complex needs, including epilepsy, autism, and severe learning difficulties. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Enabling Learning: Facilitating student access to learning with personalised, needs-specific approaches in both 1:1 and group settings.

  • Encouraging Independence: Promoting self-reliance and skill development in students.

  • Collaboration: Working with teachers and specialist staff to contribute to student records and reports.

  • Daily Support: Assisting students with day-to-day activities, promoting high standards of hygiene and welfare in both residential and classroom environments.

  • Administrative Duties: Completing necessary administration work to support student records.
