Job summary

University of Bath is seeking a part-time Student Support Officer to enhance the taught student experience from induction through to graduation. The role works with academic and professional services staff to support students within the Department of Education and related areas, focusing on advising, monitoring, and wellbeing pathways.

The post-holder will maintain strong relationships with the department, Faculty Student Support & Safeguarding, and the wider university.

• Effective communication and ability to build good working relationships with staff and students.
• Excellent organisational skills, ability to interpret complex data and manage workload and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the taught student experience from induction through to graduation.
• Collaborate with academic and professional services staff to support students within a department (primarily Education).
• Provide support for academic advising, course engagement monitoring, Disability Access Plans, Wellbeing & Support for Study plans, Return to Study and safeguarding liaison.
