Job summary

The University of Bath invites applications for a Part-time Student Support Officer in the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences. Based in Bath, you will support students from induction to graduation within the Department of Education.

You will collaborate with academic staff and Student Support & Safeguarding to identify at-risk students, coordinate academic advising, and support wellbeing initiatives. This 21.9-hour-per-week role offers salary £31,236–£37,694 per year.

Qualifications

• Support for students through academic advising, course engagement monitoring and wellbeing initiatives.
• Identify students at risk of not succeeding and refer to internal services.
• Collaborate with academic and professional services staff to maintain an integrated student support system.
• Build strong relationships within the department and across Faculty Student Support & Safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the taught student experience from induction through to graduation.
• Provide academic advising, monitor course engagement and Disability Access Plans.
• Coordinate Health, Wellbeing & Support for Study plans and Return to Study processes.
• Liaise with Student Support & Safeguarding and foster collaboration across the university.
