Job summary

The University of Bath is seeking a Student Disability Adviser to join the Disability Service in Bath. You will work with disabled students, academic departments, and external agencies to remove barriers and support success in higher education settings.

You will assess individual needs, recommend adjustments, and coordinate timely support while contributing to broader inclusion initiatives and enhanced student experiences.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing advice and support to students or clients in a higher education or similar setting.
  • Ability to assess individual needs and develop practical support recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
  • Knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion principles, confidentiality and data protection.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored advice and support to disabled students throughout their journey.
  • Assess needs and recommend reasonable adjustments to enable access to studies and assessments.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, internal services and external partners to coordinate support.
  • Contribute to inclusion initiatives and disability awareness activities.
  • Maintain professional relationships with students and other stakeholders.
