Job summary

Bradfield Secondary School is seeking a Pastoral and Attendance Officer to strengthen our pastoral team. You will monitor attendance, support pastoral systems and coordinate with families and external agencies to help pupils succeed.

The role requires strong administrative skills, excellent ICT abilities, and a commitment to safeguarding. You will work 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, on a permanent basis and collaborate with Heads of Year and pastoral colleagues.

• Able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Excellent ICT skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Shared commitment to high expectations, inclusion and pupil success.
• Experience with children or in a school environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain attendance records using BromCom and other school systems.
• Liaise with parents and carers regarding attendance concerns and pupil welfare.
• Support attendance improvement strategies and statutory attendance processes.
• Provide administrative support for pastoral, behaviour and safeguarding systems.
• Work closely with Heads of Year, pastoral staff and external agencies to support student outcomes.
• Assist with managed moves and pupil support processes.
• Help maintain a positive culture where pupils are supported to achieve their very best.
