Job summary

Leicester College is seeking a proactive Student Services Advisor within the College Student Services team to support customers and coordinate key information.

You will perform data entry, editing, interpreting and analysing data, provide funding guidance, conduct Right to study assessments, and handle enquiries face to face, by phone, and by email, contributing to a practical, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Level 2 minimum in Maths and English.
  • Level 2 IT qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in a busy customer service environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to work in the College Student Services, supporting the needs of all our customers.

As a Student Services Advisor, you will carry out a range of administrative tasks such as data entry, editing, interpreting, and analysing data. You will support customers with advice around funding and conduct Right to study assessments. You will have experience working within a busy pressurised customer service environment, including enquiry handling and resolution face to face, over the phone, and via email. Having excellent communication and customer service skills is essential for this role, as is the ability to be a great team player.

You will be educated to Level 2 minimum in Maths and English. You will have the ability to work accurately under pressure, be organised, meet deadlines, and be able to multitask. A Level 2 IT qualification or equivalent level of skills will be required and the ability to use Microsoft packages effectively, particularly Word and Excel.

You will have a flexible approach to working hours, as some evenings and occasional weekend work is required.
