Job summary

The University of Brighton is seeking a proactive Student Operations and Support professional to help students secure work-based learning experiences across campuses. You will provide 1-1 guidance, deliver skills workshops, engage with local, national, and international employers, and support placement activity through administrative tasks.

Based at Brighton - City Campus with hybrid working options, the role is fixed-term until 31 August 2027 (37 hours per week) with potential for permanent

Qualifications

• Understanding of student placements in Higher Education
• Experience working with students in an education setting
• Experience delivering skills workshops
• Excellent organisation, communication, teamwork and problem‑solving skills
• Good administration skills, with ability to use MS Office and databases to a high standard

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1-1 basis
• Deliver skills workshops
• Engage with local, national and international employers and organisations
• Attend Careers Fairs and employability events
• Carry out administration to monitor student placement activity
