University of Brighton’s Placements, Internships & Volunteering team is seeking a proactive professional to help students secure work-based learning experiences. You will support students 1-1, run skills workshops, and build links with local, national, and international employers while attending Careers Fairs and other events.
The role involves admin to monitor placement activity and is based across Moulsecoomb and City campuses with hybrid flexibility; term-time on-campus presence is required.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Placements, Internships & Volunteering team, to support our students to secure work-based learning experiences.
Working with students across the university, this role will focus on providing expert advice and guidance to students to enable them to secure high-quality, relevant placements, which will enhance their employability and graduate prospects.
The duties of this role are varied: supporting students on a 1-1 basis; delivering skills workshops; engaging and working with local, national, and international employers and organisations; attending Careers Fairs and other employability events; and administration to ensure student placement activity is monitored.
This is a fixed term (secondment), full-time post (37 hours per week) until end of August 2027 (with the possibility of becoming permanent after that date) and will primarily be based at our Moulsecoomb and City campuses. The role is suitable for hybrid working, however during term times staff will be required to work on-campus as much as needed to support student-facing activities.
