Job summary

Online Education Services in Birmingham is seeking a proactive Student Funding Advisor to support students through tuition fees, funding options and payment responsibilities.

You will guide loan applications, create clear payment plans, and work closely with Finance, Student Records and Admissions to ensure a smooth funding process. This role also involves maintaining accurate records and meeting key deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance, administration or customer service is required; higher education experience is advantageous.
• Experience managing individual cases or enquiries from initial contact through to resolution.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail, particularly with financial or student information.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines and SLAs.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using CRM, student-record or payment systems; quick to learn new platforms.
• Proactive, collaborative and student-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one guidance to students on tuition fees, payment options and funding routes.
• Supporting loan applications for undergraduate and postgraduate students; explain delays or incomplete applications.
• Helping students establish payment arrangements and maintain contact until funding or payment is confirmed.
• Responding to funding enquiries and discuss options when difficulties arise.
• Monitor funding deadlines, issue reminders and explain consequences of non-compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of payments, loan applications and sponsorship arrangements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Student Records, Registry and Admissions teams to resolve queries.
