Zusammenfassung

William College seeks a Student Finance Officer to support students in applying for funding, monitoring their financial position through registration and liaising with partner universities to ensure compliant funding records.

The role requires experience in UK higher education funding, strong Excel and reporting skills, and the ability to explain complex rules clearly to students. Evening/weekend work may be required during peak periods.

Qualifikationen

• Experience of student funding or finance administration in UK higher education or comparable regulated casework.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, and student record systems for data reporting.
• Ability to interpret regulations and explain them to students clearly.
• Experience delivering information sessions or workshops.

Aufgaben

• Support students to apply for tuition fee and maintenance loans, including first applications and annual reapplications.
• Guide students through evidence requirements and resolve queries and rejections.
• Advise on eligibility criteria under relevant regulations and practitioner guidance.
• Notify SLC of changes in circumstance and explain funding consequences.
• Maintain student funding records across registration and attendance cycle, ensuring accuracy.
