Job summary

Chelmsford College is seeking an enthusiastic Learner Engagement Officer to join the Learner Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team. This role centers on supporting learner wellbeing, engagement, attendance and success, working closely with curriculum staff, safeguarding colleagues, families and external agencies to identify and address barriers to learning.

• Experience of supporting young people in education or community settings.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Strong understanding of challenges learners may face, including safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support learner wellbeing, engagement, attendance and success.
• Collaborate with curriculum staff, safeguarding colleagues, families and external agencies.
• Identify barriers to learning and develop support plans.
• Build positive relationships with learners and provide one-to-one support.
• Contribute to early intervention and coordinate support for vulnerable and care-experienced learners.
• Utilise attendance and wellbeing data to identify concerns and promote positive outcomes.
