We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and learner-focused Learner Engagement Officer to join our Learner Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team.
This rewarding role is central to supporting learner wellbeing, engagement, attendance and success. Working closely with curriculum staff, safeguarding colleagues, families and external agencies, you will help identify and address barriers to learning, ensuring learners receive the right support at the right time.
As a visible and approachable presence across campus, you will build positive relationships with learners, provide one-to-one support, contribute to early intervention activity and help coordinate support for vulnerable and care-experienced learners. You will use attendance, engagement and wellbeing information to identify emerging concerns, develop support plans and promote positive outcomes for students.
We are looking for someone with experience of supporting young people, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a strong understanding of the challenges learners may face, including mental health, financial hardship, safeguarding and wider barriers to participation. The ability to work collaboratively, manage competing priorities and engage confidently with students and stakeholders is essential.
If you are passionate about helping learners overcome barriers, achieve their goals and thrive in education, we would love to hear from you.
The College is committed to equality and diversity and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share these commitments.
Starting salary will be dependent on qualifications, skills and experience. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
