Job summary

The Bedford College Group is recruiting an Associate Student Engagement Officer to join the Student Services team at Bedford College – Cauldwell Street Campus. The role focuses on promoting positive student behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement across campus.

You will work with safeguarding, wellbeing and estates teams, maintain records, and support enrichment activities while being available for evening and weekend patterns when required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (or willingness to obtain)
• First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote positive student behaviour, attendance, punctuality and independent learning.
• Support student welfare, wellbeing and signpost to specialist services.
• Conduct regular campus checks and monitor engagement and ID badge compliance.
• Assist with enrichment activities and personal development of students.
• Collaborate with safeguarding, wellbeing and estates teams and maintain accurate records.
