Job Details

Position: Student Engagement Coach – full time, term time only (Southern Educational Professional Services Ltd).
Salary: £24,263 per annum, pro rata (£20,841.24 per annum for term time only).

Responsibilities
  • Support planning and promotion of all Students' Union activities and events across the College in conjunction with the wider Student Inclusion and Support teams.
  • Be responsible for rolling out Student Voice and Representation across the college; ensure all Student Executives and Student Reps are trained, supported and skilled to achieve in their role.
  • Run fair elections in line with the BPCSU Constitution; assist with training and support for Student Exec member development; organise inter‑site meetings for the Student Exec Team and complete administration duties, including document creation and minute taking.
  • Operate within the social spaces of the Students' Union at all sites, ensuring that Health and Safety and behaviour standards are maintained at all times and that these spaces remain vibrant and engaging for students.
  • Work with all staff within the Student Inclusion and Support Directorate to guarantee clear visibility and promotion of the Students' Union and Student Engagement throughout the College.
  • Assist the Student Engagement and Enrichment Lead with planning and organising all BPCSU events.
  • Engage creatively with students to ensure student voice helps shape the Students' Union.
  • Participate in and supervise Students' Union trips and activities, including those outside normal working hours.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths.
  • Experience of leading a project with staff and/or students.
  • Experience of working as an effective member of a team.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both individually and in group settings.
