The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a multidisciplinary consultancy working across structural and civil engineering, transport planning, and sustainability. The business has a strong reputation for delivering challenging, environmentally responsible projects and fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture where engineers are encouraged to think differently.

The Role

You’ll be involved in a broad mix of projects, ranging from small, hands-on schemes to complex, large-scale developments. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the delivery of client projects within agreed timeframes and budgets

  • Undertaking design work across all stages for small to medium-sized projects

  • Supporting senior engineers on larger, more complex schemes

  • Collaborating closely with architects, clients, sustainability consultants, and internal teams

  • Attending site visits, meetings, and contributing to practical problem-solving

  • Supporting the development of project scopes and fee proposals

  • Coordinating drawings and production information

  • Maintaining CPD records and progressing towards Chartership (with structured support)

About You

You’ll be a thoughtful, technically capable engineer who enjoys collaboration and wants their work to have a positive impact.

Essential requirements:

  • 2–5 years’ post-graduateexperience in structural engineering

  • At least 1 year working within a UK-based engineering consultancy

  • Actively working towards Chartership (or recently started the process)

  • Comfortable running smaller projects independently and contributing within larger teams

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Desirable:

  • Experience or interest in timber or composite structures
