Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a motivated administrator to join the Stroke Service team, coordinating and scheduling an expanded programme of work.

You will report to the Service Manager for Stroke, supporting the administration and scheduling for outpatient and inpatient activity, handling queries, and maintaining high standards of patient care and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Good general education with 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English
• ECDL
• NVQ level 3 in business administration or customer care (or equivalent)
• Experience using IT/patient administration systems in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule outpatient activity for the Stroke Service
• Support administration and clerical duties across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Handle patient, GP and clinician queries with excellent telephone and IT skills
• Ensure smooth patient pathways from referral to treatment and discharge
